The Pigeons do it again!

The Pigeon Detectives follow up their fantastic debut album 'Wait For Me' with a set of catchy, classic indie rock songs. Absolutely fantastic!

Awesome second Album by the Pigeons!!

Great debut in 'Wait For Me', but this is much better! Seen the band perform in Glasgow recently and all the new songs got a great reception! 'Keep on your dress', 'I'm not gonna take this', 'Say it like you mean it' and 'This is an Emergency' are class tunes and no doubt will help make this album massive in the coming months!!

They're back, and it's Better

On first hearing the album through live shows, for instance Big weekend, i could tell it had potential. On purchasing the album, i could further tell it was going to be on repeat on my iPod for weeks. Emergency has full frontal exilerating tuines, mixed with the occasional acoustic session and a hidden track. Turning on the album, This is an Emergency kicks in. In a recent interview, they wern't able to say what the Emergency was, but it definately isnt this album. Into the chorus, it is also a great dance-rock song, a lot like previous songs on 'Wait for Me' Further down the album, passed great songs, for instance "Keep On your dress" a great ballad, lyrics aimed maybe at a previous love interest of the band, and for once, backing vocals really coming into play nicely. We arrive at Nothing to Do With You. Again, its almost in tone with the rest of the albums lyrics. As with Wait For Me, lyrics are based around romance and heartbreak, but not like "Pop love". Instead, its almost like the Detectives have a point to prove to some ex-lovers. Certainly have proven it here. Nothing to do with you is the only acoustic song on the album, and it works perfectly. I'm a liar, due to be a big concert classic for the album. With great energy and excitement, the chorus will certainly have you singing and jumping about. Once again, keeping in tone, we have Love you For A Day. It seems this song takes on the more angry romance approach about a break up of some sort. The end of the album is a lot more relaxed as opposed to the beginning. The first two tracks compared to the last two, it seems more chilled out, less energy and more lyrically defined. I have to give this album 5 stars. I just couldn't see how they could top Wait for Me, but i believe they have, and very well Key Songs: This is An Emergency I'm Not Gunna Take This Keep On Your Dress Nothing To Do With You I'm A Liar Love You For A Day Everybody Wants Me To make the perfect playlist, take Wait For Me, Emergency and put them both together on shuffle Cant ask for a better Detectives playlist

Five pals from Leeds, England, who play scruffy but energetic rock & roll with no shortage of swagger, the Pigeon Detectives formed in 2002, but the group's members — Matt Bowman on lead vocals, Oliver Main and Ryan Wilson on guitars, Dave Best on bass, and Jimmi Naylor on drums — were mates from school and had known one another since they were 12.
