Heaton is Back

Well worth the wait. An album without a bad track on it ranging from the Housemartinsesque first single Mermaids and Slaves and the catchy Little Red Rooster to the superb Everything is Eveything (my particular favourite). Welcome back the lyrical genius that is Paul Heaton.

Heaton Rambles back in style.

After hearing these songs live back in November last year, we knew we were going to be in for a great album. The songs are fresh, rockier but still have that Heaton magic. In my opinion these are some of the best lyrics he's written in years. Cross Eyed Rambler is a must for any Paul Heaton fan.

A Surprise

Well, the wife loves Beautiful South and has every album. Personally I think that the last few BS albums were PANTS. So I downloaded this for the Mrs and put in the car not expecting much. The album is a wonderful surprise with some songs arrangements going in unexpected directions. A more edgy sound with the sort of wonderful story telling lyrics we have come to love from Mr Heaton, but this time the melodys match the words. The album really is a grower and well worth the cash

In the '80s, Heaton was the leader of the Housemartins. Like the Smiths, the Housemartins were college radio all-stars in the...
