iTunes Review

A jazz trio welcomed into concert halls and dance music festivals alike, GoGo Penguin’s third album seeps across genres including classical, trip-hop and art-rock. There’s an equally bold sense of adventure and spread to the dynamics. Songs often begin with drums, bass and piano gently comparing ideas until interlocking into a funk gallop (“All Res”) or gradually harmonising frantic beats with contemplative piano riffs (“Smarra”, “Protest”). It’s these creative, counterintuitive journeys that make Man Made Object so engrossing.

Mind boggeling stuff again, this band is fast becoming a thing of legend, only thing left to do is see them live.
O and the bass... wow! Worth every penny

Jeez, these guys are fascinating. Jazz as it should be - innovative, challenging and dreamy.

I felt I needed to leave a review but I don't feel like I posses the words to describe just how perfect this album is. Any one who sees this review buy the album, worth every penny. People say that jazz is a dying genre, but this album proves that jazz should be more relevant them ever. Blue note have once again shown that there are and will always be many different ways to revolutionise the way we know jazz to be.

They released a pair of albums on the Gondwana label, announcing themselves with 2012's Fanfares, then expanding their sonic scope with 2014's...
