Album Review

This is actually a greatest hits LP for Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, and there's little more that needs to be said about these numbers — the writing of Ashford And Simpson and the vocals of Gaye and Terrell were an epic collaboration. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing," "If This World Were Mine," and the list continues, classics each and every one.

The Test Of Time

I have this on a 33 and have not been able to play it for years, well it sounds just as good as i always remembered it to be. Tammi was in my opinion a very underated solo singer however, i have to admit this was a special album. My favourite tracks are If I Could Build My Whole World Around You & Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing but there is not a bad song on the album.

A great combination of voices and talent, tragically taken away, still retains that feeling when listened to today of all that was and still is one of the most enduring vocal collabarations ever.

marvin brilliant
