iTunes Editors' Notes

Del shows great respect for Parliament-Funkadelic (the George in the title refers to George Clinton) as he narrated the minutiae of his day. Whether cracking on characters ("Mistadobolina," "Dr. Bombay") , the pitfalls of public transportation ("The Wacky World of Mass Transit"), or unwanted visitors ("Sleepin' On My Couch"), I Wish My Brother George Was Here established Del and the Hieroglyphics crew as forward-thinking mystics, distancing themselves from the gun chatter emanating from other rappers.

Quick Rhymes on a Hot Summers Day

This brings back memories from my university days in 1998. I borrowed it from my flat mate and immediatly was hooked! "Dr. Bombay" stands out! However, all songs are to a high standard and well worth the purchase!

1991 Classic

A classic from the golden era of rap...Del dared to be different, and still does. This reminds me of my University days in 1991! It was as good then as it is now.

Any one who claims to be a hip hop fan must have some Del the funky homosapien in their collection even be it some hieroglyphics but this is an absolute classic. Get it.

Signed to Elektra/Asylum, Del's debut release, I Wish My Brother George Was Here, was issued in 1991 and produced by Cube and,...
