Ella Jenkins has spent a lifetime bringing her songs and stories to children, and she is adept at picking traditional material that resonates across cultures, accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, banjo, ukulele, and sometimes with just handclaps. She hasn't tried to get hit songs with her musical work, but has instead devoted herself to teaching elemental musical truths to her young audiences, covering a whole range of subjects from reading to geography to dance to problem-solving, and this set, keyed to children aged three to eight, is no exception for this dedicated teacher and musician.
