This band is more than a punk band

If you are from the north east of england then you should listen to this band, Frankie Stubbs sings with a conviction and emotion that is rarely heard these days. Leatherface make me happy, they make me sad, they make me remember my childhood and they remind me of who I am and where I came from. Mush represents the pinnacle of Frankie's poetic powers. You dont have to be from the north east of England to love this band. Long live Leatherface!!

masterpiece

A true gem, this rough diamond somehow sounds more and more contemporary the older it gets. Great crunchy guitars, speed drumming, pop tunes and chorus, this is punk - this is rock music - performed with the soulful conviction it always has at its best. That it got passed over for so long is a kind of crime but I hope Frankie Stubbs and team are enjoying some satisfaction from its 'cult status' now.

Formed in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear in the late '80s, taking their name from the central masked character in cult classic...
