Early 90's At It's Best!!!!!!

Bought this album on it's release in 1994 (12 years ago!!!!) Loved it then - Love it more now... Music is all about memories, and this one does it for me - if you were in your early 20's then, you should remember where you were when you heard these tunes - bloody amazing record!!!!!

probably the most expressive album for our times

i've always wondered what really binded me to this album. after lots of thinking i've discovered that it expresses me for me so 'i' don't consciously have to, and in that way it defines so much of my identity. Which seems weird as to other people its just a 'great dance/experimental/etc' album, to me and people i know its beyond that. It is a tool to express people without identity or with a confused identity, which in modern times defines many people. There is something about the type of dance-expression it breeds, like in the 'no good' video, that seems to bring out particular 'animal' instincts, but in fact its deeply human, it is the instinct of wanting to be known deeply by someone else, and through this album as the album cover shows, one can get out of their shell and see their reflection. The generation is just as jilted as it was back in the 90's, and rarely is the musician 'gifted' enough to see and draw in music the cognitive-cultural landscape pervading the beings of so many of us - even without us knowing until hearing this album. Finally, as i listen to this 10 years after my teenage years which were the first years to grow up with this album, it appeals to me just as much but on a level that says that 'truth & full expression/freedom of mind' is the best drug there is not artificial substitute, no need for clubs/intoxicants to experience this album, as the album itself is on the frequency of the rhythm for life so just go with it.

One of the all time greats

I have had this since it's release day and it's still sounding good now, which just goes to show than any truely epic album is timeless. I still rate Full Throttle as one of the best Prodigy tracks ever.

Formed: 1990 in Braintree, England

Genre: Electronic

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

The Prodigy navigated the high wire, balancing artistic merit and mainstream visibility with more flair than any electronica act of the 1990s. Ably defeating the image-unconscious attitude of most electronic artists in favor of a focus on nominal frontman Keith Flint, the group crossed over to the mainstream of pop music with an incendiary live experience that approximated the original atmosphere of the British rave scene even while leaning uncomfortably close to arena rock showmanship and punk theatrics....
