About Permahorn

South London's Permahorn combine shoegaze and slowcore in cathartic yet hopeful songs that follow in the footsteps of Low, Codeine, Red House Painters, and Galaxie 500. Scottish-born St. Pauly (vocals, bass, keyboards) and Serbian native Jexy (vocals, bass, melodica) began writing and recording together just a few months after Jexy picked up the bass, and while they were both separating from their respective partners. They channeled their feelings into their brooding songs, and connected with legendary indie producer Kramer after posting one of their demos online. Kramer mixed and mastered the duo's songs at his Noise Miami studios; the results were Permahorn's debut album, My Blood Carries My Dreams Away, which Kramer's Shimmy-500 label released at the end of 2017. ~ Heather Phares
