Not a Family Affair

Generally sounds OK, but sounds like it needed cleaned-up master tapes. Family's position as a kind of early 70s chart successful rock band has been consigned to the footnotes of history, but this is indeed a good starting point to get to know the band, particularly Roger Chapman's voice that makes 60s Joe Cocker sound sweet. Burlesque, In My Own Time and No Mules Fool stand the test of time well. Lack of sleevenotes is disappointing, particulalrly with the problem about the live tracks, there are no clues about where or when the Live tracks originate

Out of time - not "In my own"

Chapman's voice does take a good deal of getting use to, but I find it particularly poignant on tracks like "Weaver's Answer" and "In my own time".
I don't think it really stands the test of time and is best left to nostalgia Radio. I loved most of the tracks at the time of release......................
