iTunes Review

Though tastes may tend to favor hot singles these days, there’s still something very appealing about a comprehensive album. Vocalist/cowriter Ciara's third full-length Fantasy Ride fits the bill as an experience to enjoy end to end — with the emotional highs and lows, uptempo club jams, and smooth ballads balanced just so. Ranging in emotion and corresponding style from sassy (the confident and flirty opening track “Ciara to the Stage”) to vulnerable (“Never Ever”, which incorporates the Gamble & Huff classic “If You Don’t Know Me by Now”), Fantasy Ride can serve as the perfect road trip mix. The guest contributions (Justin Timberlake, Ludacris, Missy Elliott) add to the diversity, and the album benefits from having both potential single-type tracks — the high-energy “Turntables” with Chris Brown; the electro-twang of “G Is for Girl (A-Z)” — and deeper cuts such as the menacing “Like a Surgeon” and the unashamedly romantic “When I”.

CIARA needs a re-think

The album is is not bad but there are conciderable improvemets which could have been made in various areas...the production on the album is poor and while the beats are important I think where Ciara is concerned more focus is needed on her vocals...she is often outdone by the music...this is not good. The album undoubtedly fluctuates from good to just boring...Pucker up is a superb piece of music and so are work and G is for Girl. Overall I would say that the production & wirting team on the album need to work harder to fit their style to ciara's.....OH and stop trying to turn her into a good version of what you are Ciara.....not a half hearted version of Beyonce.....that is all...sorry to rant :)

Modern R&B masterpiece

Ciara has improved with every album, but truthfully, this is the real evolution of her career. She's stepped aside from sounding like every other female act and taken huge risks which have clearly paid off, especially with the crazy electro club tracks like Turntables & Work and the hotness of Keep Dancin' On Me. This is a MUST HAVE for any pop or R&B fan. Truly brilliant.

Hardly worth the wait I'm afraid... Goodies is a million times better than this. There are a couple of good tracks but nothing wows me about this I'm afraid, hopefully the next one will be along quicker and hopefully hold more of a punch than this... Nice try Ciara, but slightly off the mark.
