lost classic

the best album you've never heard . a complete classic .

Simply Majestic

The late Gene Clark's magnum opus. Criminally ignored when it was released in '74, this album is simply stunning in every respect.

cosmic country......

This is a recording of wonder! Apparently a critical and commercial disaster upon it's release in the mid 1970's - but do not dismay! This album is a soaring, elegiac work of a somewhat misunderstood and overlooked genius songwriter. The music is basically country / folk rock, though it has a kind of spaced-out, cosmic other-worldy feel to it at times. The production is excellent, with textured layers of strings, piano and synthesizers. Add this to impressive acoustic & electric slide-guitar and it makes for great listening. Stand-out tracks include the sublime 'Silver Raven' and 'No Other', the latter having a brilliant funky groove throughout. 'Some Misunderstanding' is also an awesome song. Gene Clark's voice is extremely emotional and very moving. Highly recommended......
