Great single mix

This is a great single version of the track but this 2 track release is poor and why make the album version available as part of the single? Most bands give you something more than this to buy. I am a huge fan but find this disappointing. They get the album to number 5 and let it all slip away. Where is the promotion?

a surprizing choice off a great album of show stoppers

This is a good album track, and the remix is sparkling - fits in much better with the album, but it's just that - an album track - i don't think it should have been chosen as the second single. The second single is an important one, to make an impact & take the album back into the charts - The Bandstand absolutely screams 'choose me' - why was that ignored?!! So does Riding the Crest! I can't help feel an opportunity has been wasted, but - nevermind, I think Shadowside will fare much better as the third single from the album, as that really is an outstanding song.

Weak Choice for 2nd Single

Like a few others here im surprised this is the 2nd single from a very good album. Would have chosen 'Riding the Crest' or even 'Shadowside' as the next two singles. Oh well this wont chart in the UK (Foot of the Mountain didnt so this has got even worse chance). Poor choice though but its a good album track but thats it. Oh dear.

By late 1983 they had achieved part of that goal by signing to WEA. "Take on Me" took three times to become a hit in the U.K., eventually hitting number two in November 1985. Going one better in the U.S. mainly due to the wide exposure of its stunning video on MTV, which fused...
