iTunes Review

"Started from the bottom now we're here," Drake proclaims. But where's here, exactly? "Here" is the top, and it's lonely at the top, at least the way it's told on Nothing: "People I believe in they don't even show their face now," raps the morose hero on "Furthest Thing." The production follows suit; it's bleak and pensive, with sonic details like snares and kicks seemingly groping for one another in the darkness. Featuring a relative dearth of guests (Jay-Z shows up toward the end), this is Drake's one-man show, a wistful meditation on the ironic sense of isolation fame engenders.

Customer Reviews

Loved a lot of Drake's previous work, huge fan of Take care and So far gone so was excited to put this on in the car on the way back from work tonight. Was pretty disappointed, no stand out tracks, nothing that sticks with you or is catchy. Some dodgy rapping and over use of the 'N' word which is in a lot of his work but at least the songs are a good listen. A lot of these are not. Bit gutted as I was looking forward to a better effort.

this album is a grammy winner

Each one of the former child actor's first four proper albums, as well as a 2015 mixtape, topped the album charts in his native Canada and in the U.S. Though he...
