Pivot O Soundtrack My Heart

Love this album! its a indie / electronic hybrid thats dark, emotive and stunning hurtling you through 12 tracks of cosmic brilliance. Personal faves are Sweet Memory, Sing you Sinners and Didn't I Furious. Check it

80's synths beware!!

I'd be happy to say this is a great effort . . . but the amount of tracks ruined by 80's style synths and sounds really ruined it for me. I've never heard Pivot before and I don't think I'll buy another album. Shame - had potential

What I'd been waiting for...

There are those albums that breach upon the realm of genius. There are those that just plain rock. Some will cut to the core and touch a part of your being you weren't even aware existed.

This album in all it's glory and creativity represents a little of all of the above to me personally. The broken jazz riffs over luscious, fizzy synth is a mix seldom visited. What this album is is oh so simple; IT'S COOL. COOL AS F**K infact.

Think the "Near dark" soundtrack by Tangerine Dream if re-released by tortoise & Flying Lotus in collaboration.

Dark experimental instrumental post-rock band Pivot were formed in 1999 by brothers Laurenz Pike (drums, percussion) and Richard Pike (guitar, production), but soon ballooned to a five-piece band with the additions of Adrian Klumpes (keyboard), Neal Sutherland (bass), and Dave Bowman (turntables).
