A breath of fresh air, an exhale of reality.

The rap world is full of semi talented, over hyped, arrogant players but PUTS are the antidote. A combination of amazingly sampled beats that mange to carry to most chilled and fragrant atmosphere and genuine, inspired and relevant rhymes. PUTS ability to keep it real is by far their most commendible atribute, they feel no need to brag or taunt, they just want to let you know how they feel. The mixture of deep and light hearted rhymes keep a smile on your face throughout a listening. From flawless flows about the feeling after the best party of yout life or what it feels like to get slightly tipsy, PUTS put across a beautiufl, inspirational and raw message that deservers to be listened to and appreciated. Props to Double K and Thes 1 for making the best rap album of the 21st Century. Peace.

P.U.T.S at their very best

The kings of underground hip hop consistency outdo themselves on this record. As with all the other albums, the production is superb, Double D has an infinite collection of unearthed funk, soul and jazz classics, and many times throughout the album he speaks of his love for 'diggin in the crates' for old samples. Out of 20 tracks there really isn't a slightly average track on the album, and its one of those albums where tracks will grow on u and u will have a new favourite track of the album every week. The reason why this isn't the greatest album ever made and the reason why i listened 2 this album twice then left it on the shelf 4 2 months b4 playin it again is the rapping. It is at first abit offputting, but they r likable guys and they know what a gd MC is but they just find it hard to do. Best tracks in my opinion are- The Suite for Beaver Part 1, The Outrage, Keepin it Live, The Dig, Montego Slay, The L.A Song, Acid Raindrops, The Joyride and The Breakdown

The underground hip-hop outfit People Under the Stairs was formed by Mike Turner (Double K) and Chris Portugal (Thes One), who met on the fringe of L.A.'s late-'90s hip-hop underground. The duo, devoted to jazzy samples, danceable beats, intricate rhyming skills, and laid-back humor, debuted in 1998 with the acclaimed The Next Step and followed it up in 2000 with Question in the Form of an Answer. Gathering heavy praise and touring with De La Soul, the group took their road experiences and brought...
