this guitar kills muzak

Dan is another 'under the radar' musician who creates his own musical world-an immensely talented guitarist and tunesmith-some time delicate and baroque, some time powerful and driving-always unique. his longer tunes have an organic feel as if he is playing with patterns on the acoustic. He can also write strong melodic lines and good prose poetry. should be a star but i am glad he is not-like a hidden treasure. it is a pleasure to discover such singular voices still plough furrows in todays asanine dull mainstream of music!!

days even years!

I downloaded Days Even Years about two weeks ago off iTunes on the free single of the week - and it is such a beautiful song! I cant stop listeningto it! I would definately reccomend it :) And I'm only 16 - I usually listen to indie and chart music so its all new to me :P The guitar in it is amazing [=

Legendary...

This album is an absolute gem. I bought Dan Arborise's last album 'Around in Circles' which I loved, and I have to say I think this one is even better. He is am amazing guitarist and this album shows off his acoustic mastery to even better effect. And his songwriting seems to have matured as well. Not sure where you would place him as an artist - he's not really mainstream folk, but then again to lump him together with the morass of 'singer-songwriters' just doesn't do him justice. I really hope this album gets out to the mass audience it deserves.
