Given past collaborations with everyone from Tinchy Stryder to Paul Weller, it’s no surprise to see a fistful of A-grade guests (including Katy B and Wretch 32) adorning Devlin’s sonically adventurous second album. But, while those hook-ups sparkle—most notably on his and Ed Sheeran’s audacious cover of “(All Along) The Watchtower”—the Essex MC is never sidelined. And aboard the swaggering bounce of “Really Cold” you can hear his thrilling, rival-crushing evolution.
