Blues or Rock

Yes it’s a bit rough round the edges but its Gary Moore playing Rock Guitar. Forget the blues its Gary doing what Gary did best play rock guitar. It’s the new stuff that stands out the most. Oh Wild One wouldn’t have been out of place on Thin Lizzy's Black Rose album. The Celtic Rock Album Gary was working on when he died sounds like it would have been fantastic. Just like Joe Bonamassa showed with Black Country Communion, it may have started with the blues but both Joe and Gary are born to rock.

Some great moments………….

Almost a fitting tribute to a wonderful musician and exceptionally talented guitarist. Sadly though the album suffers from some poor production with the guitar too far up in the mix making it seem overly loud particularly during some of the solos. A shame, but understandable as this recording was perhaps never planned to be released. Happily the wonderful "Where are you now" is included and so it should be, a sure fire lighter waving live classic in the waiting that arrived too late to make it onto any studio releases. Buy it, don't buy it, it's your call, but this surely captures the man where he was happiest, on stage in front of an appreciative crowd, during one of his final live shows before his untimely departure.

Amazing live sound... good clear sound and nice loud guitar with great riffs... This concert was always planned to be released even before Gary sadly passed away, just to correct a previous review

One of rock's most underrated guitarists (both from a technical and compositional point of view), Gary Moore remains relatively unknown in the U.S., while his solo work has brought him substantial acclaim and commercial success in most other parts of the world — especially in Europe. Born on April 4, 1952, in Belfast, Ireland, Moore became interested in guitar during the '60s, upon discovering such blues-rock masters as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and perhaps his biggest influence of all, Fleetwood...
