Album Review

Cursed's debut album (fittingly entitled One) is a conglomeration of short blasts of metallic fury and longer dirgelike numbers. Although the latter show a Neurosis influence, the larger influence would seem to be Integrity, while simultaneously reminiscent of the dirty, barreling-forward metallic hardcore from such scenes as Boston and upstate New York. The 11 songs speak out about blind patriotism, Christianity, relationships, and the other typical content one might expect from a hardcore album. The album surely gets its point across.
