A welcome Return for a great band.

What a brilliant surprise to see this band revived, at least in recorded form. Chakk were touted as one of dance musics big hopes during the 80's following hotly on the tails of Cabaret Voltaire. However, unlike their more famous lablemates, Chakk were snapped up by MCA, moved more into the mainstream and then departed the scene as quick as a flash with one major budget album which flopped horribly. Thankfully, the music survives and in this collection you have the best examples of their work, from early singles You and Out of The Flesh, to the MCA work of Imagination and Take Your Time. Not a dud amongst these tracks, but if you were to go for a couple I would heartily recommend Out Of The Flesh and You, the two Fon tracks, both are classic works and should be revived as soon as possible!

Absolutely made up to find this on here! As the first reviewer has mentioned, one of THE great white hopes of the '80's around '84,in what was dubbed 'Industrial Funk',the first 2 FON releases,'Out Of The Flesh' & You/They Say' are an absolute must,as well as one of the more diluted MCA tracks,'Imagination'.Their last single from '87,'Take Your Time'( or Timebomb as it was known on release) is also worth downloading but the others, being just dub &/or instrumental versions of this do not offer anything apart from some good cut-up dialogue from some quality films,The Thing & Bladerunner being two. After Chakk, the bassist,Mark Brydon went on to form Moloko, just in case you didn't know.Come on iTunes, get the album & the other 12's on,you know it makes sense!!

The group's lone full-length, 10 Days in an Elevator, was released by MCA in 1986. Tipped for great heights, the record failed to live up to expectations and the group split. Mark Brydon, who built a studio with the money his group received from their...
