This first collaboration among two popular music giants helped pave the way for a brief chapter as romantic performers. The two veterans complement each other very well, as they explore their carefully selected repertoire. "Mi Dolor Es Mío" and "Desde Que Te Fuiste" are quite moving; "Regálame Ésta Noche" receives fresh treatment. Although both performers have had considerable experienced with the bolero genre, they have sounded as compelling and emotional.
