Odd sound on recording

While the music is wonderful there are odd sounds around the 1:20 mark and beyond. It's as if someone is humming out of tune. I don't know if this was recorded in a public setting put you can hear the noises again around the 2:37 minute mark and also 3:24. Unfortunately it ruins the music for me. Is anyone else hearing this?

Yes, I can hear it too!

Quite annoying isn’t it! But the recording generally and the performance are still great. Wouldn’t say it distracts me too much, just like sitting next to an annoying person in a concert hall! Had that experience more than a few times! Just focus on this wonderful music! In a live concert, of course, you can have a moan at them in the interval! Or sooner, depending on how annoying they are being!

So enjoyable

This edition of Wagner's last masterpiece has been done so perfectly. Every last detail has been analysed thoroughly by the spectacular maestro Gergiev, who brings the transformation music in the first act to new heights of theatricallity. This is an amazingly enjoyable recording.

Deciding while still in his teens that he wanted to become a conductor, Gergiev entered the conducting class of Ilya Musin at the Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) Conservatory....
