Sachin Sangvhi and Jigar Saraiya have quietly become two of Bollywood’s most stylistically adventurous musical directors. The pair have always been particularly successful at incorporating hip-hop and R&B influences into their work, and they've gained a devoted following among younger Indians as a result. In 2011, the pair scored a sizable hit with “Party Abhi Baki Hai," the musical centerpiece of the otherwise forgettable teen comedy F.A.L.T.U. The song rode a midtempo groove deliberately reminiscent of The Black Eyed Peas’ 2005 hit “My Humps" and even featured a half-speed, chopped-and-screwed vocal hook. This adventurousness carries over to Sachin-Jigar’s Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, the soundtrack to a lightweight romantic comedy starring real-life Bollywood couple Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza. Though the soundtrack leans heavily on weepy romantic ballads like “Piya O Re Piya,” the album’s best moments come on the dance numbers with techno and hip-hop inflections, like the pulsating “Pee Pa Pee Pa Ho Gaya."
Ore piya! Luv it
Real nice track
