The return of decent music?

The Vaccines are good, they're very good, and what they're doing is different because they're taking classic punk-style riffs and rhythms and putting them in an indie context, which I think sounds pretty good. Take this song for instance; the verse has a distinct similarity to The KKK Took My Baby Away by The Ramones, but it's very hard to say they copied The Ramones because what they've done with it is pretty far away from punk rock. Check out some of their other stuff, can't wait for the album in March

Much Hyped Band deliver Their First top 40 Single With Gusto

Right let's get this out of the way early. This song is in no way groundbreaking, nor is it particularly shocking in anyway but let it be known that it is sure as anything thrilling. I first witnessed this band in their element on the Jools Holland show and realised instantly that they were the men for the job of bringing guitar led music back where it should be, in the UK top 40. The track seamlessly blends the emptiness of lost love with catharthic driving minor chords. The chorus sounds as if it were made to be sung in pubs up and down the country whilst simultaeneously being sung my thousands at Glastonbury. It's a complete and utter blast and deserves your support. This is the band who are bringing variety back and this is the band you should support with your 99p.

I'm so glad this band exists. They're everything that rock music needs to re-gain its rightful place in the Top 40. Their songs are unbelievably catchy and accessable to such a wide range.
