Holy Ghost

What a tune, it is like Black Crowe meets old Deep Purple mashed with Skynryd. Awesome tune my new band Rattlebone is based on your Genre of music but you guys are the best !

hey guys, just giving honest opinion of a band i hadnt heard much of, until recently...and wow! if u like a bit of southern fried rock and great backing tune with chilled out lyrics, this IS the one for you. try their other albums as well, all are great listening! enjoy

About time!

Finally, a fantastic band with an album that sounds like has followed on from Black Crowes’ By Your Side which was them at their most melodic and polished. Blackberry Smoke have taken it to the next level.

The Whippoorwill is a perfectly balanced album - each song is a variation on quite a broad theme and it all just works. Highlights for me are Everybody Knows She’s Mine, Ain’t Much Left Of Me and the title track, The Whippoorwill. Shakin’ Hands With The Holy Ghost is perhaps the greasiest song and the song that drew me in but this band have created something which will stay in my short list of all time favourite albums for good.
