If you havn't heard Ascendancy you havn't heard Trivium..

If you havn't heard Ascendancy you havn't heard Trivium; this is by far Triviums best album to date, not even The Crusade or Shogun can top it. This is Triviums 2nd professionally recorded album and even though ember to inerno was done in a studio the recording quality on Ascendancy can't be matched. This IS Trivium, their own style, just developing on from ember to inferno to produce their best music ever. From The Crusade onwards (To date) there music has been influenced by other bands (I do still f**king love all their albums!). But Ascendancy is what made trivium who they are. SO GET IT!

Trivium have certainly shown us that they can do much more than what they have coverd on Ember To Inferno. The flawluss sound of Matt and Corey's screaming followed from the melodic singing of Matt And Paolo make this record unique for Trivium. The Album has shown a star band that have made history. I recommend downloading the whole album because every song is perfect, it's hard to choose a favourite!

Ascendancy is the best album Trivium have produced. With a heavy sound and incredible songs this is metal at its best. The End of Everything - a great acoustic intro which leads straight into Rain Rain - incredible intro, and a brilliant heavy song - 10/10 Pull Harder On The Strings of Your Martyr - the best song they had done, incredible drumming and great solos - 10/10 Drowned and Torn Asunder - 8/10 Ascendancy - awesome song with great riffs and lyrics - 10/10 A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation - loud and heavy from the beginning - 10/10 Like Light to the Flies - 10/10 Dying In Your Arms - a more radio friendly track, not as heavy as some of the songs on the album but just as good- 10/10 The Deceived - 8/10 Suffocating Sight - 10/10 Departure - 9/10 Declaration - 9/10

Formed: 2000 in Orlando, FL

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Hailing from central Florida, Trivium formed in 2000 and quickly built a buzz around Orlando's metal community with their blend of metalcore, thrash, and progressive metal. Having secured a contract with the German imprint Lifeforce, the band issued its debut album, Ember to Inferno, in October 2003 with a lineup that included vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy, drummer Travis Smith, and bassist Brent Young. The debut was well-received, and Trivium signed with Roadrunner Records for their next effort....
