Produced by Chilean-born U.S. producer Humberto Gatica (Gloria Estefan) and Kenny O'Brien (Alejandro Sanz), La Taberna del Buda is the third studio album from Spanish brothers Manuel, Oscar, and Raul, aka, Café Quijano. Released in 2001, the follow-up to experimental flamenco LP La Extraordinaria Paradoja del Sonido Quijano includes the single "Desde Brazil" and a duet with Grammy Award-winning merengue vocalist Olga Tañón on "Otra Ves (Que Pena de Mi)". ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Spanish alternative act Café Quijano got involved in the local rock scene in 1996 when brothers Manuel, Oscar, and Raúl Quijano, inspired by their father, a professional singer, decided to record a demo and organize a live performance at León's Emperador Theatre. Soon after, the band was signing up to Warner, issuing a self-titled album in 1998, followed by a tour around Spain.
