Ravel: Piano Concertos

I first got this album in 1988 and listened to it constantly through-out my college life and after. Ravel is to Piano Concertos what Tescos is to grocery shopping - synonymous. Martha is awesome and the LSO under Abbado is tight. Of particular note is the adagio assai which is conducted at perfect pace. Left Hand in D is spell binding. Absolutely worth 5 stars.

I also bought this album at university in the 1980s, forgot about it then heard Le Tombeau de Couperin by chance and had to buy it for iPod. Stunning brilliance.
