Customer Reviews

Red Book is classic Texas and a must buy album.

The best Texas release since White On Blonde. Period. The record opens with a 36 second instrumental reminiscent of those on "White on Blonde" after which you are whisked into the anthemic "Getaway" which is followed by the equally brilliant and infectious "Can't Resist". These are 2 of the best tracks on the album and were perfect choices as the first singles. The rest of the album continues along in a pleasing manor and is classic Texas with a mix of uplifting and relaxed tracks. Other highlights on the album include "Cry", "Get Down Tonight" and "Masterthief". This is definitely comfort music, I grew up listening to Texas records and I feel right at home listening to this new release. It is accessible to anyone and after only 3 plays I find I'm enjoying this record rather a lot. Click that "Buy Album" button right now!

Utterly Superb

With this realease it feels as though Texas have once again found their outstanding form, as an owner of every Texas release since their inception, I can safely say that in this they have made a triumphal and heady return to the heyday of the album White On Blonde. Simply fantastic

Unadulterated listening pleasure

With this album Texas have not only returned to form, but they have progressed their distinctive style to a new, more modern level.
