All this genius for so little.... Essential....

What we have here is the box set, minus the DVD but plus a trio of 'bonus' tracks. All for £8. As is inevitable with a box-set of this size and scope, the quality of material varies. There are a few tracks on which the edge is lost and replaced by a comfortable smoothness, a pitfall that most rock bands slip into at some point. But even the weakest tracks here are pretty good, the best are outright classics, and the strong outweighs the weak by quite some margin. I was looking for a 'greatest hits' package but found this instead, and I am very glad that I did. Highly recommended to all rock / indie fans. All together now... "Got brass in pocket / Got bottle - I'm gonna use it / Intention - I feel inventive / Gonna make you - make you - make you notice..."
