Quo Live....Can't Beat It

This collection (along with the 2xCD and the 7xCD) covers a vast period of time and shows the band in several guises but the highlight has to be the first official release of the 1973 Paris Theatre concert from the Radio 1 In Concert broadcast. It wasn't a legendary gig and has simply gained that status(!) over the decades but it demonstrates the sheer raw power of Quo at the time. It was a shortened set of an hour but it bristles with energy and this collection is worth buying purely for that gig. A below par Paper Plane doesn't detract from the experience; in fact, it may even enhance it as it gives an indication of why the band were always slagged off by the music media even at the peak of their powers but loved by almost every denim clad male in the UK. This is brilliant. You can knock 'em all you like but no one has ever been able to stop them. Genius.
