an epic ep

'Run' is a classic and epic track, the chorus is amazing and the instrumental can't be complained about. One of Snow Patrol's finest songs and always will be like 'Chasing Cars' and 'An Olive Grove Facing The Sea'

Just to clear things up...

Leona butchered this song, fact. And music isn't all about lyrics, even though these ones are immense, it's also about the passion and emotion that goes into the tune. I mean, Leona ruins the whole section ment for those emotions to come across, with her voice (sorry, but it's awful). And for someone to say that the backing music ruins the lyrics? Bull. It makes the lyrics, and it sure as heck ain't 'dire'. This has to be one of the best songs ever written. If you haven't heard it, you haven't lived. So listen to it, and bloomin' well live.

Lay off Leona!

Will people stop saying leona butchered the song, her version is just as good, in fact its better, its amazing! i don't mind snow patrol, in fact i hve a lot of their music, but i love leonas "run" and wuld much rather buy hers! if u don't thats fine its your opinion, but will everyone please stop having a go at her a lot of people like me like it - thats why it sold more and was number 1!!!!!! Her vocals are unbelieveable and i think there loads of emotion in her version! so stop saying she butchered the song, i think she improved it and i didn't even knw snow patrol sang it 2 util after her version! so she kinda rasied awareness about there music, and even snow patrol admitted they liked her version. so will you just DROP IT! lv you leona! xx

After failing to secure an international audience for nearly ten years, Snow Patrol broke into the mainstream with 2003's Final Straw, a mega-selling album that showcased the band's fondness for epic, melancholic rock. The group had originally stuck closer to the pop realm, releasing quirky albums that took more cues from Belle & Sebastian than Coldplay (to whom the band would later draw many comparisons). Final Straw proved to be a turning point, however, paving the way for the success of 2006's...
