W.E.T ...More like W.O.W ! Sublime AOR/Melodic rock !

I love great rock music ...simple as ! This release certainly hits the mark with the very best of them.

I liked some of Jeff Scott Sotos's solo stuff, as well as the numerous other bands/projects he's been involved in, but this IS the BEST thing he has ever done.

The album just oozes great Melodic rock from start to finish. The first two tracks, "Invincible" and "One Love", set the tone for the entire album with great vocals, guitars, choruses and hooks it.

JSS's voice has never sounded as strong or as varied ..the tracks range from JOURNEY to WHITESNAKE to FOREIGNER

There isn't a poor track on the album, ( I don't say that very often), and before you know it your on track 6 or 7.

If power ballads are your thing then "One day at a Time" is up there with the very best - heartfull and builds up to a great climax.

And...finally...WOW... "If I fall" is the best song Journey never wrote, already compared to "Don't Stop believin" its a fantastic AOR number. Six minutes long I didn't want it to end.

I love all rock music but this has to be one of the best AOR/Melodic rock albums I've ever bought.

If you like classy rock a la Journey. Boston, Whitesnake, Foreigner etc just Have to have this in your collection.

Enjoy !

One of the best melodic releases in recent years

I have never been that much of a fan of JSS which isn't to say I don't like him but I have just never really been drawn to him. This record though is quite amazing. There is a great mix of styles across the album from AOR to some slightly harder rockier elements but throughout it is melodic always. "If I Fall" is quite simply astounding - it sounds like a fully functioning authentic Journey - the guitar-playing of Erik Martensson is first-class and a joy to hear particularly on this track. "One Day At A Time" is simply the best power balled I've heard in years and JSS' vocals here are worth the admission price alone. "One Love" is powerful, melodic and very, very infectious. In a nutshell, every track is worthy of an individual review and due note should be made of the superb production and mix which whilst not quite being world class is not far from it. I've played this album constantly over the last week and that is a great sign.

What an incredible album this is, JSS has been around for awhile but never really found a home. I first heard of him when he deputised for Steve Augeri, who was suffering from a throat problem, when Journey were touring (and was probably why Mr Augeri was subsequently dumped and replaced by Arnel Pineda in the Journey line-up).

The album reminds me of Def Leppard from the 80s and early 90s but with a sweeter sounding voice mashed together with harder rock sound. The songs seem to mean so much to the singer and feel like they are sung from the heart.

Listen to this album and be totally entranced, I know I am and cannot stop listening.

Genre: Rock

Swedish/American melodic hard rock supergroup W.E.T., which derives its acronymic moniker from the first letter of each of its three member's flagship bands, formed in 2008 after Italian record label Frontiers asked keyboardist/guitarist Robert Säll (Work of Art) and guitarist Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse) to each contribute six songs to a new project with Talisman vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. The results can be heard on their well-received 2009 eponymous debut. Road-tested and operating like a well-oiled...
