The Original and Wonderful

Music Man is somewhat overlooked in the UK, despite appearing in much imported American popular culture (including being parodied in The Simpsons and Family Guy and "Til There Was You" appearing in The Wedding Singer). It's a wonderful show with the most incredible quick-fire lyrical dexterity from legendary Robert Preston, who originated the role of Harold Hill on Broadway and went on to play him in the 1962 film. I would love a soundtrack to the TV remake with Matthew Broderick to compliment this one, but you really can't beat the original. Fans of Mary Poppins and families of all ages will find this a treat.
