A masterpiece of riffology

From the opening track to the end of the album Lostalone deliver

"The Bells! The Bells!!" Is a true stadium rock anthem with powerful guitar, a punching bassline, booming drums and a killer Lyric.

The record is full of truly outstanding guitar solos with "Hostages" a particular highlight.

We witness the harmonic and symphonic then we are hit with harder, heavier tracks like "Scarlett letter rhymes"

Steven Battelle delivers a superb lyric throughout.

"Im a UFO in this city" was always going to be hard to follow, but Lostalone have delivered on every level here with a record that will propel them to the big-arena headlining status they deserve.

Dont take my word for it, buy the record, put the headphones on and slip into a world of musical euphoria.

Great album of Rock infused Pop music.

There is a lot to like about this album. Big sound, catchy hooks and singalong choruses.... and some seriously Brian May inspired guitar work (the mini-solo in Dooooooomageddon could easily have been provided by the Queen guitarist.).
For me there are 2 minor quibbles which make this a 4 rather than 5 star album:

Firstly the overuse of vocal harmonies. Every song is absolutely crammed with them, every possible space filled with a 3 part "oh-wohwow". Which is a shame, because the harmonies are really clever, but the lack of any space makes it sound a little one dimensional at times.

Secondly the production. Possibly as a result of trying to cram in too many textures and harmonies, the overall sound is often a bit muddy.

That said, the songwriting and performances are top notch. If you like a bit of anthemic pop-rock then this album will definately bring a smile to your face and have you singing along.

So good.

Their sound is just so massive, and they're just so incredible live.. I simply don't understand why they're not bigger than they are! Crazy.
Great tunes though, so so so goooood.
