A year on from their debut, two of Busted have left their teens–which simply means refocussing their hormonal affections from schoolgirls and teachers to brides (“Crashed the Wedding”) and the titular “Air Hostess“ (“I messed my pants when we flew over France”). Moving ever closer to Blink 182, their riffs have got louder and their basslines grungier, while the hooks are still pin-sharp. Wisely they’ve also retained their sense of mischief–even if “Why” confidently opens a path into earnest hard rock.

North London-based trio Busted first appeared in early 2002 with an audacious blend of BBMak and Boyzone called "What I Go to School For." The single's sugar high of saccharine pop-punk progressions, processed harmonies, and cheeky cuss words ("I fought my way to the front of class/To get the best view of her ass") was a big hit with the kids, and saddled the Busted boys with immediate sensation status.
