Great song but..
Why does the release date keep getting pushed back?? Been waiting for this song to be released since last October..
Hurry up and release this great song!
This is a song I've absolutely loved since I first heard it late last year, and as a result, I'm starting to class Walk The Moon as one of my favourite breakthrough bands right now. I love their style of music as well; 80s style and with a rockier feel to it. Also, is it just me or does lead singer Nicholas remind anyone a little of Marti Pellow from Wet Wet Wet (Google them kids) and how he looked back in the 80s? Anyway, this is the kind of song which at the moment is enough to get me singing along every time, and at parties and what not, to get me up and dancing every time, and with the right amount of publicity and airplay, should do really well. I personally hope it will, and if so, that they won't be one-hit wonders here in the UK. I say that as I bought their earlier self-titled album recently, and loved it. It's left me excited also for the rest of their second album, Talking Is Hard, as I've loved what's been unleashed from that so far. Its just a shame there's still another month or so to wait here yet, only downside though.
Welcome to the summer hit that'll be stuck in your brain
I heard this song constantly on the radio for the last two weeks in Florida; it's one of those songs that get inside your brain and sounds like it's been around for ages. A true summertime hit in the offing.
Check it out on YouTube it won't disappoint.
About WALK THE MOON
Spirited and quirky Cincinnati, Ohio-based indie rockers Walk the Moon formed in the late 2000s around the talents of Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman. After independently releasing their 2010 debut album, I Want! I Want!, the band signed on with Brooklyn-based boutique management company Mick Management and began work on their follow-up LP with producer/mixer/songwriter Ben Allen at Atlanta, Georgia's Doppler Studios. The resulting sophomore outing, Walk the Moon, arrived in 2012 on RCA Records. Led by the single "Anna Sun," it charted inside the Top 40. The following year saw the release of the Tightrope EP.
In December 2014, the band issued their third long-player, Talking Is Hard, via RCA. The anthemic single "Shut Up and Dance" reached the U.S. Top Ten and became an international hit. The song also garnered a Teen Choice Awards nomination and an MTV Video Music Awards nomination. Buoyed by that success, Walk the Moon headlined their own tour in 2015 and capped off the year by performing live during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in New York City. The band's first live album, You Are Not Alone: Live at the Greek, appeared in 2016.
In 2017, they returned with their fourth proper album and third for RCA, What If Nothing, featuring production by Mike Crossey, Mike Elizondo, and Captain Cuts. Included on the album was the single "One Foot." The band also headlined their Press Restart tour. ~ James Christopher Monger
