Album Review

This CD features a radio and LP version of the studio track "Sip the Wine" and a live take of "Next Time You See Me" (both from the album Live on Breeze Hill). Proceeds from the sale of the single go to Greenpeace, one of Rick Danko's favorite causes. "Sip the Wine" isn't among the late Band singer and bassist's best work — his legendary mournful wail sounds a bit pinched on the track. Other musicians on the CD include Danko's Bandmate Garth Hudson; the Band's "other" drummer-vocalist Randy Ciarlante; guitarist Jim Weider (the Band, Jim Weider & the Honky Tonk Gurus); and Professor Louie's longtime partner, vocalist Marie Spinosa.
