Sleezy Peasy

If your looking for some fresh sleeze metal., look no further. This album takes influences directly from 80's sleeze metal and glam rock bands as the name suggests, and is obvious right from the beginning track "Midnight Ride". The band have successfully captured the essence of the old 80's glam and sleeze style lyrics, riff driven guitars, and simple drum beats that all 80's rock/metal fans are familar with. Its good to see that some people are more than happy to keep the spirit of the 80's alive! With high pitched vocals that seem very similar to bands such as motley crue and poison, and numerous guitar solo's that sound like ac/dc, There is no way that fans cannot listen to this album whilst tapping thier feet, or humming/whistling the tunes. I reccomend it!

Fantastic Music

I saw (and first heard of Dirty Penny) a few weeks ago when they played their first Europe gig at the Purple Turtle in London. They were absolutely outstanding, and pairing up with fellow band Falling Red at the end was a superb way to end a great night. I now have two albums of Dirty Penny and listen to them on a regular basis with being added to my iPod for the daily commute. If you enjoy hard rock and the old school style with Def Leppard, Black sabbath etc. then this may take your fancy.

Agreeing with John (previous review) I believe they have captured the 80s rock style and re-introduced it in the 10s to ensure it's survival. We need more bands like Dirty Penny recognised and I have a good feeling we may see more.
