Album Review

A regular DJ at super-clubs Fabric and Le Rex Club and remixer of tracks by Kaiser Chiefs, Mika, and the Prodigy, French electronic artist Pierre-Alexandre Busson, aka Yuksek, launched his own solo career with debut album Away from the Sea in 2009. Influenced by Daft Punk, its combination of techno, hip-hop, and psychedelic rock produced the singles "Tonight" and "Extraball," and featured collaborations with electro duo Chromeo, Scottish dance-punk band Shitdisco, and U.S. rapper/singer Amanda Blank. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Another amazing French act

Being English I'm supposed to hate anything to come out of France. However, I do admit that they are in a league of there own when it comes to electronic music, Daft Punk, Justice and SebastiAn are some of the great acts which have appeared from the country and I believe Yuksek will be up there along with the best in the near future! Amazing album! ( I don't really have anything against the French :P)

Finally the wait is over!!!

Been listening to this album all day and can't get enough of it, Yuksek has kick started 2009's electronic music collection in amazing style. definitely worth the wait. Every fan of electronic music should have this album.

Too good....

Daft punk est mort vive Yuksek !
