Why is this album still being sold here; and at a totally ridiculous price?
Has anyone bought this album since I last reviewed it nearly three years ago? If they have, they are insane. ITunes is also totally insane for still selling it at all, let alone at this ridiculous price. Do you ever listen ITunes? No, of course not; all you are interested in doing a lot of the time is ripping off gullible people who don’t know any better. Where is your quality assurance? This album is a joke, as per my original review.
This is not merely opinion, but fact. Anyone who knows Chopin’s actual music would agree.
If the album did not make reference to Chopin, then fair enough. But it does, and it isn’t his music; not even remotely! Amateurish rubbish actually!!! Do not waste your money! £7.99? What planet are you on ITunes?
Also, whoever actually recorded this album is an idiot and a very poor amateur; that is, first and foremost a musical idiot; secondly an idiot in a more general sense.
Also, how dare you give an opus number to a piece which is not by the advertised composer?! You may be an idiot but I am not!!! Actually, I am an expert on Chopin’s music, have researched him extensively and I play his piano music professionally, in concerts on a regular basis! I am extremely annoyed! I first listened to Chopin’s music when I was 6, over 50 years ago! I know his music intimately.
If you are going to make up amateurish music (rubbish recordings too by the way!), then at least 'fess up' and put your name to it, not the name of a genius like Chopin! He would turn in his grave at this rubbish which has been wrongly attributed to him!
You are not clever enough it would seem, musically or otherwise, to accurately mimic his style. But most of all, why do you take music lovers, and specifically Chopin lovers, for fools? Indeed, do you actually know any of Chopin’s music? I doubt it!
I agree with another reviewer that one star is too generous; if i could rate it zero stars, I would!
It is a total outrage that this album was created in the first place; even more of an outrage that iTunes continues to promote it! Again, and as I have said in other reviews, where is your quality assurance iTunes? Also, why do you allow such substandard offers, when some classic musical recordings, tv shows and films are still not available for download here???
If you want to find a good reinterpretation of Chopin’s music, then do a search on 'The Chopin Project’. Now, that is very professional as opposed to musically inept! Your money way better spent! And/ Or, spend your £7.99 on a decent recording and performance by any number of professional pianists who are playing the real Chopin compositions! (Nocturnes, Waltzes, Mazurkas, Polonaises, Ballades, Sonatas, Preludes, Scherzos, Concertos etc)
