iTunes Review

Working class hymns, underrated anthems and swaggering hits with the power to live forever are all present and correct on this exhaustive 26-track chronicle of the Manchester band’s finest singles. Time hasn’t diminished the most potent pages of the Noel Gallagher songbook—“Cigarettes & Alcohol” crackles like a glam rock explosive, Britpop singalong “Don’t Look Back In Anger” is almost preposterously stirring—but later releases fare well too. “The Shock of the Lightning” is a rip-snorting, psychedelic monster and “Songbird” (a rare Liam-penned addition) reframes rock’s snarling wild man as a hopeless romantic.

Very good, but...

This album is obviously awesome, but, It's missing some absolute classics. The likes of Champagne Supernova, She's Electric, Rock 'N' Roll Star, Morning Glory, Half The World Away, Acquiesce and Slide Away aren't on there. I can understand that the songs on their are obviosuly good, but I'm a little dissapointed that the songs I listed above weren't on the album. Ah well, like I said it's still a quality album!

Best band in the world

I'd like to start by saying that my Dad (quite possibly the biggest Oasis fan ever) is almost solely responsible for my new found love of this band, and after having pretty much the every album on replay for 4 months, u can see why. As a 13 year old with as much musical knowledge as a plank of wood, this album (and the others) have taught me what true musical genius is. Ok then onto the songs, and, as this is a collection of singles, if you want a more fixed view of the purest of Oasis' music then the album Stop The Clocks is advisable, but this album quite literally everything, with Orchestral arrangements to crazy Drum and Guitar solo's. From here i will give a song-by-song rundown out of 100:
Roll with it-85
Live Forever-100
Stop Crying Your Heart Out-80
Cigarettes and Alcohol-95
Don't Look Back In Anger-100
The Hindu Times-80
Stand By Me-90

All Around The World-75
Some Might Say-95
The Importance Of Being Idle-95
D'You Know What I Mean?-85

Who Feels Love?-70
Little By Little-90
The Shock Of The Lightning-85

I hope my views helped.

The best album out in years and finally "Whatever" is on itunes

Formed: 1993 in Manchester, England

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s, '00s

Oasis shot from obscurity to stardom in 1994, becoming one of Britain's most popular and critically acclaimed bands of the decade in the process. Along with Blur and Suede, they were responsible for returning British guitar pop to the top of the charts. Led by guitarist/songwriter Noel Gallagher, the Manchester quintet adopted the rough, thuggish image of the Stones and the Who, crossed it with "Beatlesque" melodies and hooks, injected distinctly British lyrical themes and song structures like the...
