Although the selections on this British two-disc collection cannot be faulted (including Crosby standards like "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "Gone Fishin," "Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams," "Dear Hearts and Gentle People," "Don't Fence Me In," "In the Cool of the Evening," "Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral," and "Pennies from Heaven" among its 49 tracks), MCA had a bit of trouble with mastering, resulting in overly noticeable noise on several of the recordings. It's a great collection for a new fan who's not worried about those matters, but The Best of Bing Crosby might bother audiophiles.
