A dramatic and intense Elektra

The dramatic and intense opening of Elektra immediately catches your attention, and doesn’t let go throughout the whole performance. The vocalists perform their characters so convincingly that their solo performances and interactions with each other are always exciting. As the opera progresses you feel a real connection to each of the characters. The London Symphony Orchestra’s fantastic performance of Elektra’s orchestral score is so expressive and emotive in itself that Valery Gergiev, the conductor, seems to have provided the opera with an additional character! A fabulous performance, from both vocalists and orchestra.
