Nickel Nine Is....

The King of Detroit. Awesome album, especially the first two thirds. Been following Royce since 1999 and every release gets stronger and stronger. Key tracks for me are Far Away, New Money, Street Hop 2010, Something 2 Ride 2 and Count For Nothing. For me, thee most underrated Emcee in the game today. Also, try the Bar Exam 1 and 2 mixtapes as well as "Death Is Certain" album and "Build & Destroy" and the M.I.C. Records mixtapes. Royce is the ish, foooooool!

The kid reviewing this as 1 stars clearly an idiot. Royce offers up his greatest project with this album bringing his flawless flow to a number of concepts throughout, displaying himself as one of Hip Hops greatest storytellers on joints like "part of me" " on the run" and "murder" or his cocky stylings on tracks like "thing for your girlfriend" also offering up great metaphorical rhyming on "Gun Harmonizing" with Crooked I which has one of the greatest hooks I've ever heard. The album also offers up some laid back tracks in the way of "something to ride to" and "hood love" making this one of the dopest albums not just of last year but of the last decade.

Ridiculous album, Royce has been on the scene since '99 and he keeps on getting better.
Highlights are murder, thing for your girlfriend and Dinner Time.
Old school spitting lyrics over dope beats, it's good to have real hip hop back.

Others might know him as the guy who teamed up with teen singer Willa Ford on her 2001 hit "I Wanna Be Bad." He is also known as the rapper who got a major boost from legendary producer DJ Premier, who produced his 2000 hit "Boom." Mostly, though, people associate him with Eminem. Royce and Eminem have rolled together since their early...
