Do not Buy this

I nearly bought this album however I thought I would check out Amazon's new MP3 download service and they had the 100 most essential pieces of Classical Music for £6.99! I hope this has saved some people some money.

Great introduction to the classics but...

I was very pleased with this purchase until I saw Amazon's 100 Most Essential - twice the music but £3 cheaper! I am now in the process of replacing my iTunes copy with the Amazon version. Don't make the same mistake as me, check out Amazon mp3 downloads and then make up your mind about what version to buy.

A classic!

Having 'poor' to 'none' experience when it comes to classical music, I found this CD contained works/composers that I'd certainly heard before but could never have put a name to. This is a great CD to get into classical music. Dum dum dum duuuum! That was 'Symphony No. 5 in C minor', don't you know?!
