A real return to form for Hugh

Real top album this. Brilliant production - Telecaster sound from heaven. Real punchy sound, quirky and amusing lyrics. Just good songs. Love Me Slender, in particular, is a gem. Best thing he's done.

Yeah! Nice one Hugh!

Greatest Album Stranglers Never Made

Utterly fantastic album, finds Hugh in full blown "Stranglers" form. His fabulous guitar lead not withstanding, his band is limiting. So sad it's not a Stranglers album! Regardless, here we have a brilliant album I can recommend to all : old fans & new ; it's that good! Age clearly has not blunted Hughs incisive lyrics & fab melodies. Superb! His best since Beyond Elysian Fields, with a harder more punk like edge to it. Simply a wonderful album complemented by his cutting lyrics & awesome guitar work.
