I love this, a Bushel and a Peck!
Well, I love Guys and Dolls, and this soundtrack is great! Most of the songs are very clever and sound fantastic, especially numbers 1, 6 (very funny!), 8, 12, 14 and 16. Great musical with a great soundtrack. Now go buy it!
Guys And Dolls
Frank Loseur (the composer/writer of guys and dolls) is an absoloute genius, all the in the musical is to an amazingly high standard! If you enjoy musicals, then buy this album, i promise you'l love it :-)!
We have heard orchestrations of this splendid score in recent productions of this great show that reflect the growing sophistication of to-day's musicals. But the tunes are so timeless, and the lyrics so clever that it is worth the modest cost of this CD to hear the way it sounded when first recorded over fifty years ago.
