Chilled out

This was the first Raveonettes album I've purchased. I thought they where a new band when I stumbled across the name... apparently not! Such a chilled out flowing album to just have either filling the background or to sit around relaxing too. Even though I suspect the talented Danes have been around longer than most of these, for me they're a mixture of The XX, MGMT and possibly a sprinkling of White Lies. Nice album and nice band.

Faded

Very chilled out. I wanted more catchy lyrics and more to stand out, but it is a nice album to listen to.

Combining the noisy swells of the Jesus and Mary Chain with melodic elements of '50s rock & roll, the Raveonettes formed in Copenhagen during 2001. Guitarist Sune Rose Wagner had tried assembling a band for several years, traveling between New York City, Las Vegas, Hollywood, and an island outside of Seattle in his search for like-minded musicians.
